OAC Bay Area – Ministry and Outreach Update 2/5/18

I just updated our outreach schedule for the next two months.  Please pray for these outreaches and come join us if you can.  The list below is for the next two weeks.  The remainder of the dates are on our Outreach Schedule page.  That link is below as well.  I could also use prayer and help in a couple other areas:

I’ve been walking some local neighborhoods where I’m hoping to plant kids Bible Clubs.  I need prayer that God will open opportunities there and connect me with Christian believers and local churches that can help.  I’m looking particularly for lower income areas, since that means lots of people, and particularly kids, concentrated into a smaller area, which makes gathering a group easier. I’ve listed a few areas below and I’m open to new locations.  If you or your church are working in a neighborhood nearby, or would like to, I’d love to help support and work with you.

Near Rosemary School in Campbell (our church is looking at this area)

Near Monroe and Scott in Sunnyvale (I think)

Near Regional Medical Center in San Jose

I would also want to try to start lunch-alternative or after school clubs in local high schools.  These generally have to be student led, and sponsored by a teacher, though the rules can be different by school.  If you have any good connections at local schools, let me know that as well.

Please continue to pray for our adult outreaches, particularly at local universities, and that our support will continue to increase.  What we are able to do is largely contingent on having the money and time available.
